Nestled in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, Perth County lays claim to some of the province’s richest and most bountiful farmland. But it’s about much more than that. Perth County is a study in contrasts. It’s where lush, rural farmland and back country roads intersect with arts and culture, where historic architecture mingles with some of the newest culinary trends. Perth County serves up a diverse range of memorable experiences, whether you’re travelling as friends, as a couple or as a family. You may run out of time when you’re here, but you certainly won’t run out of things to do.
There are so many good things to see and do in Perth County that it would be impossible to do it all in one visit. Thousands of people attend the Stratford Festival Theatre every day in season. Foodies could spend a week just exploring the four-star restaurants, farmers' markets and specialty food shops in the area. On the sporting end of things, there's the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, several golf courses, the paddle boats in Stratford, and the world's largest natural swimming pool in St. Marys. Each town and village offers it's own specialty, from the Spinrite Yarn and Craft outlet in Listowel to the antique shops of Shakespeare. Listowel hosts it's annual Paddyfest in March and Milverton has it's Rodeo. With many other special events and festivals such as Stratford Summer Music and Savour Stratford Perth County, you'll want to return to Perth County many times throughout the year, whether it's for the day, a week or a weekend getaway. A few of our prominent citizens share why they are proud to call Perth County "Home".
