Farms and Farmers Markets
With an abundance in agricultural production, Perth County is often referred to as “Ontario’s food basket”. Perth County is one of the region’s main producers of pork, beef, dairy products, corn and organic produce, and is home to the Ontario Pork Congress.
Whether you are stopping at a roadside stand, or visiting a farmer’s market the “Flavours of Perth” are an experience not to be missed. From locally grown and produced vegetables, delightful cheeses, meats and maple syrup products, there are always plenty of savory sensations that are guaranteed to delight your taste buds.
One of the favourite activities of our visitors is to spend a leisurely morning wandering through one of
our farmers’ markets. There are three separate farmers’ markets in Perth County, each with its own unique flair.
