Historical and Museums
Visitors can get up close and personal with Stratford’s heritage by joining an Historic Walking Tour, held Tuesday through Saturday in July and August, and on Saturdays only in May, June and September. Contact the Visitors’ Information Centre. There are other events and exhibits throughout the summer, including excellent shows at Gallery Stratford and the Stratford Perth Museum.
For the history buff, a self guided Heritage Walking Tour of West Perth is available, featuring many local architectural treasures. Also of interest is the Community Arena’s Howie Morenz display, featuring memorabilia of the former Montreal Canadian. Drop by the Drummond Museum at Greenbelt Farm to see a wonderful exhibit of family heritage.
