Cornelia Hoogland is the founder and artistic director of Poetry London. She founded Poetry London in 2004 as a workshop-based reading
series in order to address a need for hearing, reading, writing and sharing
poetry in the community. She has written five books of poetry.
Her latest book, Woods Wolf Girl, will be published in 2011. Hoogland has received many awards for her writing, which has been shortlisted five times for the CBC literary awards. In September, 2006, she guest edited Descant magazine special issue on Cuban poets.
