Ride Perth County in the Annual Forbidden Ride
On the second-last weekend of May the highways and streets of Perth County will be filled with the sound of roaring motorcycles cruising their way around Perth County as they take a Forbidden Ride. Scroll down for more details!
This year's Ride is Saturday May 23rd. Fee for the ride is $35 +HST per person. You may book tickets for a single rider, both rider and passenger, or two riders.

- 6:00 – 6:30 pm Arrive at Stratford Home Furniture 2954 Hwy 7&8 East (beside TSC) watch for the Black and Yellow ribbons
- 6:30 pm Caravan of Motorcycles Motorcycle Ride through downtown Stratford, arriving in Mitchell around 7:00 p.m.
- 7:00 – 9:00 pm Motorcycles Awareness Launch hosted by Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers, Abate and Lake Huron Steel Horse Riders (read more)
- 7:00 – 9:30 pm Music. Food available in Mitchell at the Show 'n Shine on St. Andrews Street.
- 7:30 – 9:00 pm Show 'n Shine held on St. Andrews St. in Mitchell between Quebec and Ontario Street (near the Cenotaph).
- 9:00 – 9:30 pm Winners announced and prizes handed out.

- 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Tour the towns & find your stamp stops (Riders’ Itinerary Provided)
- 4:00 – 5:30 pm Arrive in Beautiful Downtown Listowel for your Full Course Meal
- 4:00 – 8:30 pm Motorcycle Vendors
- 4:00 – 8:00 pm Silent Auction Table
- 4:00 – 6:00 pm Music / Entertainment
- 6:00 – 8:30 pm Full-course local meal, 50-50 draw and prize giveaways. All riders and passengers are eligible for all prizes.
If you need a lift, Wightys will help! We will pick up your bike and bring it back to the shop if you run into any problems the day of the ride, at no charge. It will be locked securely inside for the weekend until arrangements can be made to have it repaired. Call us during the ride at 519.348.0404.
Sunday's events:
- 11 am - 2 pm: Slow Ride Self-Challenge Course - We will be assisting the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers Chapter 027 to have some fun and at the same time why not give yourself a little ‘self challenge’ on the slow ride practice course as well as get a bite to eat at the charity BBQ. This event is open to all and registration for Saturday's ride is not required to attend. There is no cost for the event, donation for the BBQ.

The Forbidden Ride promotes the Ride Perth Motorcycle Map, which identifies motorcycle-friendly roads, restaurants and accommodations within the county. Available at the Perth County Welcome Centre and Artisan Market and various locations across southwestern Ontario.
