Welcome to the Perth County “Picture Perfect” Photo Contest.
This photo contest is open to Perth County photographers and visitors to Perth!

The Perth County photo contest will include the following categories:

• Farm Markets
• Festivals and Events (Canada Day, Paddyfest, Stonetown Heritage Festival, etc.)
• 2005 International Plowing Match
• Landscapes and Gardens
• Historic Buildings
• Sunrise/Sunset
• Murals
• Transportation (horse & buggy, trains, etc.)
• Winter Fun

Guidelines for the contest are as follows.

• All photos must be taken in Perth County
• All images taken with film or digital cameras, must not be altered beyond the traditional lightening or darkening and colour balancing
• Slides are not eligible
• Negatives are not necessary
• Entries shall be 4” x 6” prints, with location, photographer, address, phone number and category written on the back
• Photos must be delivered to the Perth County Visitors’ Association, at the Perth Community Futures Office, 12 Main St. South, Milverton.
• Note: if you are taking photos of strangers, you need to get a signed release form from them allowing their photo to be published. Release forms are available on-line, or at the Perth County Visitors’ Association office at Suite 1, 12 Main St. South, Milverton.
• All photographers must sign a release form
• Deadline for submitting photos is Friday, November 4, 2005

Information on contest prizes

• Once all the entries have been received the photos will be judged by a delegation from Inside Stratford-Perth.
• A first place and runner up will be awarded for each of the 10 photo categories. Prizes will include gift certificates to restaurants, gift baskets, etc.
• One grand prize of a $500 gift certificate will be awarded to the photo that is judged best overall
• The first place photo in each of the 10 categories will be published in the Inside Stratford-Perth newpaper.
