We welcome you to our home and this peaceful country setting in the heart of Rural West Perth. At Windbreak Farm Bed & Breakfast, our special guests will relax with the comforts of today while enjoying the charm of yesterday in our century old, lovingly restored, Victorian Farm House.
Our home boasts all of the original wood trim and hardwood floors reminiscent of the turn of the century, two original antique footed bathtubs, fir ceiling in the kitchen and all handmade wooden cupboards throughout. As you arrive, farm fields and majestic trees line our paved country road. Wicker furniture adorns the verandah where one can view glorious sunsets, observe our many species of birds feeding and nesting or just relax and let the gentle country breezes waft over them. A stroll amongst our perennial gardens offers a feast for the senses: sweet fragrances, songs of the birds and amazing colours abound. In cool weather, our woodstove and fireplace are always lit. Reclining on a comfy couch with a hot beverage in hand is a great way to unwind. We offer cable TV in one of our living rooms and free wireless internet throughout. Our home is smoke free. We have ample parking space even for trailers and larger vehicles. We hope that the purring of our resident cat will not disturb the tranquility too much. Our Bedrooms
“The Dove's Nest”
This is a serene room offering a comfortable queen bed for a sound sleep. This room has a fabulous 4 piece ensuite with heated ceramic floors, an antique “footed” bathtub to soak in and a large neo-angle shower. We provide special hand made soaps and soaks in several fragrances for your pleasure, as well as hair dryers and comfy robes for you to lounge in. The “Dove's Nest” has a full set of garden doors which open up onto a private upper storey verandah where you will find adirondack chairs for your enjoyment. A ceiling fan, window fan and clock radio are provided in the room as well. This is a sunny, corner room, facing both East and South for warmth and comfort. Dove’s is $135.00 plus HST
“The Robin's Retreat”
This cozy room boasts two windows with a panoramic view of the countryside. It contains two twin beds where you can drift into a dreamy night's sleep. This is a corner room, facing both South and West so incredible sunsets can be seen from here. The room has a ceiling fan, window fan, clock radio and full length mirror. For your convenience and comfort we have provided a set of our comfy robes and a hair dryer. The full 4 piece bathroom complete with heated ceramic floors is just down the hall. Soak your cares away in the original antique “footed” bathtub or in the large neo-angle shower. We provide special locally made soaps and soaks in several fragrances for you. Robin’s is $110.00 plus HST
“The Swallow's Loft”
This spacious and charming room is located in the attic of our century farm house. Large windows facing in three directions allow ample sunshine and fresh air, with a fabulous view of the rural countryside. Two double beds offer a peaceful night’s sleep in this unique room and there is plenty of space for a cot (available upon request). The room shares a four piece bathroom on the second floor. Cuddle up on comfy furniture and watch cable TV, read a good book, or just relax and enjoy the loft! Swallow’s is $140.00 plus HST
We offer something unique for those who may be travelling with horses. Our “Bed and Bale” service will let your steeds enjoy a good night's rest and a hearty meal in a box stall right in our own stable. There is an adjoining paddock with oak board fencing where they can romp awhile as well. Please call ahead for pricing and details.
We offer a 10% discount for any stay that is 3 nights or more.
