Welcome to the Town of St. Marys
History and hospitality in perfect balance St. Marys is a picture-perfect gem of a town.
St. Marys is a small town with big personality. Nicknamed “The Stonetown” because of the abundance of old limestone buildings, it’s both vibrant and historic. The town is home to the annual Stonetown Heritage Festival, Canada’s largest outdoor freshwater swimming pool – a former limestone quarry where Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau once dove off the high board, and the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Check out the Sarnia Bridge with spectacular views of town, part of the 2-km Grand Trunk Trail, which was once an important railway. St. Marys offers walking tours in the summer and horse-drawn wagon rides during the winter holidays. There’s a reason people say St. Marys is always in season.
